LIGHTSCORES THERAPEUTIC APPLICATION
LIGHTSCORES is a wearable interactive tool translating light into sound, simultaneously transforming what we see into an acoustic soundscape. Having its conceptual roots within performing arts, this interactive device combines the user’s visual sense with hearing and motor coordination. It’s about sensing light spaces by moving and listening. Sound can be composed by wearing LIGHTSCORES sensor modules on selected body positions while passing through different light situations.
Movement is essential to help formation of brain areas. Further LIGHTSCORES is enhancing visual – acoustic perception, coordination training, fine motor movement, motor rehabilitation and colour detection. Children discover even more creative possibilities and get easily into a state of active exploration and continuous play. A bespoke system is therefore used in therapy for visually and multiply handicapped children. The setup can be adapted to each child’s needs: Early testings within research show that motor coordination improves.
ALLES oder Licht collaborates with several research institutions and experts during prototyping phase embedding fields like therapy, neuropsychology, music, pedagogy, visual and moving arts. Our interdisciplinary creation process is informed by feedback from users like dancers, composers as well visually or multiply impaired people including children and adults. At the end of product development stands a user-friendly LIGHTSCORE – KIT which includes light-sources, sensors and a control device, with a series of pre-set light and sound scenes adaptable for each kid.
SOUNDSPECIFIC MOVEMENT RESEARCH: The body as an instrument – a wearable interface between man and machine. LIGHTSCORES can be used in the field of Entertainment , Event and moving arts / dance & choreography. Further the field of application is not limited to the human body: It can be used as part of an installation, embedded within Architecture or a visual / media setup. We are proud to present first time an interactive DJ Performance at International Design Fair Milan. Please check our News Blog!
